Compensation Administration: A Walkthrough of the Compensation Cycle

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on exercises, this course introduces the concepts of managing the compensation review cycle. You will gain basic skills in how to use Compensation Management administrative functions, including cloning the implemented plan, adding new rating sources, adding new custom fields, creating new budgets and guidelines, setting up eligibility rules, managing forms and generating reward statements.

Target Audience: This course is ideal for HR administrators who are preparing for implementation and unfamiliar with the SAP SF compensation module; Administrators who are already live and preparing for their Year-2 compensation cycle; and Administrators who would like a refresher of the core functionality of SAP SuccessFactors compensation.

Working with Recruiting Management Templates and Recruiting Business Rules

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on exercises, this course will walk an administrator through the configuration of Recruiting Templates: job requisition template, candidate profile template, job application and offer approval templates. In the afternoon, we will work together to complete scenarios in which recruiting business rules apply.

Target Audience: This course is for experienced Recruiting Management System Administrators. You should have experience with Job Requisition, Candidate Profile & Application and Offer Approval.

Note: This course is not designed for customers who are considering implementing Recruiting Management, as the content is more advanced.

Report Center: Creating and Sharing Canvas Reports Utilizing Employee Profile Data

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on exercises, this course introduces the fundamental concepts of creating Canvas Reports. You will gain basic skills in how to create queries, including calculated columns, filters, and pivots. You will then learn how to create reports using the most common components, including text, images, charts and tables. Once the report is created, you will learn how share that report by email, scheduled download, and via the Report Center.

Target Audience: This course is for report designers who have limited experience using Report Center, Online Report Designer, and Detailed Reporting.

Note: This session will use data from Employee Profile. Data from other modules, including LMS, EC, and WFA will NOT be discussed.

Employee Central: Foundation Objects and Employee Data Management

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on exercises, this course reinforces core Employee Central concepts. Topics include foundation object management, managing employee data in the system, and setting up workflows and event reason derivation.

Target Audience: System Administrators who have basic knowledge of Employee Central.

Employee Central: Meta Data Framework and Business Rules

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Do you have Employee Central experience, but want to learn more about advanced features, such as Position Management, MDF Custom Objects and Business Rules? As Employee Central shifts to managing information through MDF, customers will have the power to create and manage content directly in the instance. Participants will receive an introduction to these features and gain hands-on experience using MDF and Business Rules.

Target Audience: System Administrators who already have good knowledge of the Employee Central solution, but want to learn about additional features.

Performance Management: v12 Acceleration Components and Managing the Performance Cycle

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on exercises, this course introduces the learner to the components of PMv12 Acceleration (pods, team overview, permissions) and concepts of managing the performance review cycle. You will gain basic skills in how to use Performance Management administrative functions, including launching performance forms, deleting forms, and manually routing forms to follow the performance process.

Target Audience: System Administrators for Performance Management who have an understanding of SuccessFactors Performance Management terms, concepts, and navigation.

Recruiting Marketing: Update Your Career Site Builder (CSB) Website

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice, you will learn how easy it is to keep the content fresh on your career site. You will practice in a fully-functioning CSB career site, and see the results of your changes in real time. You will learn how to set up users in CSB, and then make global changes to match updates to your company’s branding, such as fonts and colors. You will add and update the different page types, including the components that make up the pages. You’ll get practice making many other changes, including: updating the headers and footers, job page layout and search grid; replacing system text; managing data privacy settings; and creating a backup file with your CSB settings.

You will also work with new features that are released in early 2018, and you will learn about the activities that currently must be completed in a backend application. Throughout the class, we will view live CSB sites to see some excellent examples of what you can do with your site.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning: Assessment Exams, Quizzes and Surveys

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on exercises, this course introduces participants to the concepts of exams, quizzes, and evaluations. You will gain basic skills in how to create questions, objectives, exams, and questionnaire surveys, and attach them to items in order to assess and evaluate effectively.

Target Audience: Administrators for SAP SuccessFactors Learning who have an understanding of general LMS terms, concepts, and navigation.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning: Applying New Functionality Creatively

Monday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Exploring features available in SAP SuccessFactors Learning, participants will engage in interactive discussion and hands-on activities to explore Quick Guides, the Instructor View, Task Checklists, Recommendations, Collections, Slots, and Groups.

Target Audience: Administrators for SAP SuccessFactors Learning who have an understanding of general LMS terms, concepts, and navigation.

Goal Management: Managing the Goals and Goal Plans

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on exercises, this course introduces the concepts of managing goals and goal plan main features. You will gain basic skills in how to use goal library, goal import, group goals, team goals, transfer goals and initiatives and doing basic configuration in the goal plan template.

Calibration for Performance Management: Managing Calibration Templates and Sessions

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on exercises, this course introduces the concepts of calibration templates and calibration sessions. You will gain basic skills in how to configure and manage calibration template for the performance process, selecting data sources, configuring view. You will also learn about the different roles who participate in the calibration sessions and how to create and manage these sessions.

Introduction to SAP SuccessFactors Learning Report Designer

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This course will cover the basics of using SAP SuccessFactors Learning Report Designer to add columns to existing SuccessFactors Learning system reports. During this course, we will discuss installing and configuring Report Designer, exporting SuccessFactors Learning reports, connecting Report Designer to a data source, finding SuccessFactors Learning database objects, writing simple SQL queries, and testing/publishing reports in SuccessFactors Learning. By the end of class, you will add email address and organization description to the Item Status report and publish it within SF Learning.

Target Audience - LMS Administrators who want to add fields to SF Learning system reports that are comfortable making minor SQL changes.

  • This course is designed for students who are comfortable with basic SQL including making simple updates to SQL queries, adding tables, joining tables, and selecting columns from tables.
  • Please note that this course does NOT include Online Report Designer (ORD). This course covers the reporting tool within the LMS, which is independent of ORD.
